VERDICCHIO DI MATELICA, SAN VITO 2024

Verdicchio comes from the Marche region on the ‘calf muscle’ of Italy’s east coast. It is similar in style to a Trebbiano from Lugano and, like an Albariño, it has a slight saline tang although this particular Verdicchio is slightly fruitier and fuller-bodied – mostly apples & pears. Unoaked, dry and crisp, perfect as an aperitif and with oily fish.
