Italian winemakers certainly know how to name a wine - this one rolls off the tongue!

Despite 13.5% alcohol, for me this is the definition of ‘easy-drinking wine’ (all very well having a 12% red but it's not an 'easy-drinker' if it's to dry, acidic or plain 'rough'!)

From Tommasi’s vineyards in Puglia in Southern Italy, this wonderful Primitivo (known as Zinfandel in the U.S.) shows dark fruits, spices and liquorice in the right proportions. Goes well with any grilled meats.
