A superb white blend from boutique producer David & Nadia Sadie using organic farming principles and grapes from 12 different vineyards (mostly bush vines) from the Cape’s northern wine region called Swartland.

D&N studied viticulture together and it’s hard to believe they have only been making wine together since 2016 because all of their wines are outstanding.

Aristargos (which I think is a Greek word meaning “to lead by serving people”) is a Chenin Blanc blend – so about half Chenin (49%) and half a mixture of southern French grapes Roussanne, Semillon, Marsanne, Clairette Blanche, Viognier, Verdelho, Grenache Blanc and Colombar.

So really quite a complex blend but light at only 12.5% alcohol and full of lovely citrus and stone fruit flavours, hints of honey and light herbs.

Rich, complex yet fresh style. Delicious.
