CHOREY LES BEAUNE PIECE DU CHAPITRE MONOPOLE 2015
£25.80

A light and supple Pinot Noir from arguably the best producer in the smallest appellation in Beaune – Chorey-Les-Beaune. Full of character, the nose is dominated by small dark fruits (blackberry, blueberry, cherry) with light notes of liquorice. It is well-built with elegant tannins and a well-rounded structure that give a nice long palate.

By the way, “Monopole” means that the vineyard is entirely owned by the winemaker on the label, in this Domaine Tollot-Beaut (due to the incredibly high costs of land in Burgundy nearly all vineyards are jointly owned by several families).
