AMARONE DELLA VALPOLICELLA CLASSICO MAGNUM 2017
TommasiThe Amarone vineyards are in the historical Valpolicella Classica zone: La Groletta and Conca dÍOro. It is made from a blend of the four Valpolicella grape varieties Corvina Veronese (50%) Corvinone (15%) Rondinella (30%) and Oseleta (5%). Because the grapes are picked then partially dried for 4 months before being pressed, the result is a very powerful wine which is then aged for 30 months in Slavonian Oak barrels. Deep ruby red color with garnet shades. Warm, ripe on the nose, intense and of great refinement. The taste is complex, smooth, full bodied, powerful (alc. 15 % vol) lots of cherry notes and plum. TOMMASI Amarone is a wine which one can proudly serve on special occasions, particularly with red meats, game and ripe cheeses.
