DOMAINE TOLLOT-BEAUT CHOREY LES BEAUNE PIECE DU CHAPITRE MONOPOLE 2022

A full bodied Pinot Noir…. from Burgundy! Pièce du Chapitre is a single parcel (and a monopole of the Tollot Beaut estate) which produces wonderfully balanced wine (yes, even at 14.5%) from 70 year old vines. There’s no doubt that this latest vintage has a fuller bodied character than in other (less hot) vintages, with a mix of red and mainly black fruits and a silky finish. According to Jancis Robinson MW 2022 was “A good to excellent vintage that offers ripe, well-fruited, classical Pinot Noir for medium to long-term drinking.” What a delicious winter red!
