ILLIMIS CINSAULT 2022

Illimis (latin for clarity) Wines Winemaker Lucinda Heyns is all about the ‘terroir’ and believes wine should reflect their origin.

According to Lucinda “Grapes for this wine are sourced from an old bushvine vineyard that was planted in 1974 on well drained, red, loam soils with granitic origin. This Cinsault is made in a more delicate style. Turkish delight enrobed in dark chocolate with inviting christmas cookie spice aromas. The palette is layered with allspice, rhubarb, bright cherry, red fruit and lively acidity. Delicate tannins, nuances of buchu, orange peel rind and savoury parma ham are intertwined in the warm, spicy finish.”
